All club members are invited for our annual refresher course which will be held on the 31st of August 2018. Special topics this year are latent failures in aviation, aviation reporting, Belgian AIP changes and club communication. This interesting evening will end with one of our usual Happy Hours.

All club members and their family are invited for our annual New Year's dinner. More information can be found on the events page. Info regarding registrations, cost and further details will be provided via email.
The Sabena Aeroclub offers its pilots a GPS training on the Garmin GNS430, similar to the one in the DA20. The course will take place on March 25 starting at 20h in the clubhouse.
The course objectives are:
- A basic comprehension of the GNSS.
- Understanding the pagination of the unit.
- Defining a user waypoint.
- Editing a flight plan.
- Achieving a fast and comfortable manipulation at a glance to avoid time spent head down in the cockpit.
The course will not cover:
- any kind of procedure.
- vertical navigation.
Caveat: this training is not a lecture, but a hands-on training, and it will be profitable only if you can bring your laptop with this GNS430W trainer installed. Minor differences with regard to our GNS430, but the GNS430 (without the W suffix) trainer is for WindowsXP only. If you still have WindowsXP (in standalone it still works well for what is following), please download this GNS430 trainer.
The Sabena Aeroclub is organising a refresher course for its pilots on February 10th, followed by a Happy Hour (cheese & wine). The refresher course starts at 19h. We ask you register for the Happy Hour before 08/02/17. All members and their family are welcome.
The Sabena Aeroclub would like to welcome you again to our Open House Day at the Grimbergen Airfield.
Between 10h00 and 18h00 we offer you the possibility to meet our members and provide answers to your questions about flying and becoming a pilot. You get an opportunity to fly in our aircraft both in the pilot or passenger seat, participate in events with prizes (win a flight in a Piper Cub!), view Belgian's Flight Simulator Club in action, enjoy a static display and much more. Special tours to visit the hangars (remarkable protected monument) are organised. Goodies can be found to take home.
Info sessions are organised all day long, in Dutch, French and English.
